The government plans to develop the Nuwara Eliya Post Office as a tourist attraction while continuing to offer postal services.
A new decision was made to retain the post office under the Postal Department, while also developing the site as a tourist destination.
Technical advice will be sought from the Urban Development Authority and the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority for the project.
